Blessing Of Cars: Commemorating the miraculous ascension of Elias into heaven on a fiery chariot, it has become the tradition in the Byzantine Church to bless cars and other modes of transportation on his Feast. The blessing of cars will take place next Sunday, July 19th, following the Divine Liturgy.

Wedding Anniversaries: The annual Eparchial wedding anniversary celebration for the Middle States Syncellate will take place on Saturday, November 14th at 4:00 PM. Please inform Father if you are celebrating this year an anniversary of 5 years or any multiple of 5 years thereafter (10, 15, 20, 25, etc.).

Eternal Memory!: Please remember in prayer the soul of +George Virvan who died Saturday, July 11th. Vičnaja jemu pamjat’!

Slavic-American Festival: St. Ann Byzantine Catholic Church in Harrisburg, PA will hold their annual Slavic-American Festival next Sunday, July 19th, on their Parish grounds at 5408 Locust Lane from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 PM. There will be Polka Bands performing, ethnic foods, raffles and games and much more. Free parking and free admission.

World Meeting of Families 2015: Established by Pope John Paul II in 1992, the World Meeting of Families takes place every 3 years in different countries around the world. This year the World Meeting of Families will take place in Philadelphia, PA from September 22nd – 27th. The theme for this year’s WMOF is “Love is our Mission: The Family Fully Alive.” Families from around the country – and around the world will gather for prayer, presentations, children’s activities, and celebrations culminating in a special Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.
