Bulletin December 29, 2013

Holydays: Wednesday, January 15th, the dual Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Memory of Our Holy Father Basil the Great, is a Solemn Holyday. The Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great will be served at 10:00 AM.
The Feast of the Theophany of Our Lord is a Holyday of Obligation in the Byzantine Ruthenian Metropolia of Pittsburgh. Great Vespers followed by the Sanctification of the Jordan Water will be celebrated next Sunday evening at 6:00 PM (please note the time!). On Monday the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.

Vigil of Theophany: Traditionally the Vigil of Theophany, like the Vigil of Christmas, was a day of Strict Fast (no meat or dairy products). Since the Strict Fast is not observed on Saturdays or Sundays, the fast is transferred to the preceding Friday (this year January 3rd) when Theophany falls on a Sunday or a Monday.

Offertory Envelopes: Parish offertory envelopes for 2014 are now available in the Social Hall. If you are not receiving envelopes and wish to be registered in the Parish, please stop by the Sacristy following the Divine Liturgy.

Chlldren’s Offertory Envelopes: Youth Stewardship envelopes are available to parents upon request. Please stop by the Sacristy following the Divine Liturgy.
